Luis Piccinelli

Luis F. Piccinelli, born in Sao Paulo Brazil, began his music career as a 6th grader at Plantation Middle School. He chose the clarinet after attending a concert at the local high school. During his time in middle school and high school, Luis played in the Area Honor Band, the All-County Band, the All-Nation Band, the University of Miami Honor Band, the USF Festival of Winds, and many other performing groups.

After his high school accomplishments, Luis received a scholarship to play clarinet for the University of Miami in Coral Gables Florida. During his time at UM, he performed in many groups including the Symphonic Band, Symphony Orchestra, Woodwind Quintet, Contemporary Music Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, Brazilian Ensemble, Opera Pit Orchestra, and Clarinet Choir.

During his last year at UM, Luis won a job to be one of the clarinetist for the United States Air Force Band in St.Louis., but decided that he wanted to pursue a career in teaching instead .

During the 2006-2007 school year Mr. Piccinelli was the Band Director at Coral Springs Charter School in Coral Springs Florida, and was a clinitian and guest conductor at Coral Springs Middle and Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School. Mr. Piccinelli also organized a concert that included all band directors in Broward County
